Cobalt Creative sponsors cycling team,
adds first new employee in over six years

March 15, 2004 Oakland, Calif. - For the 2004 season, Cobalt Creative will be a corporate sponsor of the Oakland-based Cycle Sports/ Moosehead cycling team and club. "The goals of the club fit well with the need for me to stroke my own ego," notes Cobalt CEO J. Arthur Sobul. "It will be quite the rush to see our corporate logo gracing the kits of le train orange at races throughout Northern California in the coming season." In a related move, Cobalt Creative has added Italian cycling legend in his own mind Giovanni Arturo Sobelli to its staff. "In the tradition of other major corporations such as Proctor & Gamble, which commonly hired former college and semi-pro basketball players to play on their company teams, we've added Giovanni to bolster the Cycle Sports/Moosehead/Cobalt cycling team," says the Cobalt CEO. "I'm very pleased to be adding Gio," J. Arthur adds, "both because of his success on the roads of Europe, and because he keeps Cobalt a family operation, since he is my third cousin, twice removed. If I recall correctly, the first time he was removed from a bar in Milan. He hasn't told me about the second time, I believe because there is a gag order involved." Cobalt's newest member shares his CEO's enthusiasm. "I am very pleased to be joining such an admired organization as Cobalt Creative, even though I have no idea what they do," the Italian cyclist said through an interpreter. "Despite being old, fat and slow, I intend to race a full schedule this year for the club team, and hopefully add to my already extensive palmares, as well as help make a name for Cobalt Creative with the tifosi."
